Abstract

Written in 1965, Concerto for string orchestra has a triple dedication: the year of completion coincides with the year of marriage, the birth of the composer’s children (twins) and the first audition at the Târgu Mureş Philharmonic, where Remus Georgescu was leading the orchestra.
