  • Veronica Laura Demenescu The following paper presents to the public the work of a serious, music investigation, the Concert for string orchestra in the Romanian, musical creation from the second half of the 20th century of Professor, Ani-Rafaela Carabenciov, PhD. At a first read, we notice that a great, number of important native composers dedicated important scores to this, type of orchestral formation. In order to go more efficiently through these, rotes, the author defines three temporary segments: 1950-1960, 1960-, 1980 and 1980-2000, to whom she included the creations made in those, periods of time. The first decade records the appearance of some great, opuses with prestigious signatures of some Romanian creator who, activated before 1950 as well: Paul Constantinescu, Ion Dumitrescu,, Sigismund Toduță, Tudor Ciortea, the author carefully investigating these, works and discovered the technical and esthetical virtues of some plays,, which can be considered as references in the Romanian music. Marked by, stylistic influence and concepts created by Enescu, these pages clearly, prove the adherence to the Romanian spirituality, and form some real, models of approaching the folkloric reference points, but also the of the, byzantine models of multisecular traditions., Going to the next stage (1960-1980), we discover the name of the, following composers: Georg Wilhelm Berger, Remus Georgescu, Mircea, Chiriac and other compoers as well. It is a more relaxed period with a, view to the option of language, of formal constructions, actually of, everything which came as actual information from the occidental area if, we consider the fact that the communist dictatorship created big trauma, in the creation level in its first decade., The last two decades of the past century suggested the name of the, following Bucharest citizens: Vasile Timis, Liana Alexandra, Ulpiu Vlad, and Viorel Munteanu, one of the most representative composers of Iasi Author
