ROMANIAN TRADITIONAL MUSIC FROM THE PERSONAL FOLKLORE ARCHIVE OF PROF. DR. NICE FRACILE REVIEW

Abstract

In 2024, Professor Niță Frățilă released his second Romanian folk music collection, based on research conducted between 1975 and 2023. The CD features 42 authentic vocal and instrumental pieces from Romanian communities in Vojvodina and Eastern Serbia. It documents diverse genres such as ballads, doinas, ritual songs, and traditional dances performed on folk instruments. The collection is accompanied by scholarly analysis, enhancing its ethnomusicological value. This work represents a major contribution to preserving and studying Romanian musical heritage.
