DALCROZE PEDAGOGY - DISCOVERING MUSIC THROUGH THE WHOLE BODY

Abstract

Discovering music through the Dalcroze method is a joy, a privilege even. If until now, trained in a traditional system, we believed that there was a single and sure way to train ourselves in musical understanding and performance, we now see that, by applying principles of Dalcroze pedagogy, we can offer a different vision of music, which makes it much more accessible and forms real skills. The teacher, on the other hand, discovers with each step new ways and solutions to guide the student on the path of discovering, feeling and understanding music.
