IDEATIC CO-EVOLVEMENT AND THE HUMMINGBIRD EFFECT IN THE COMPOSITION PROCESS

Abstract

The study investigates the compositional process from the perspective of the co-evolution of ideas and the hummingbird effect, proposing a parallel between the dynamics of musical ideas and evolutionary mechanisms in nature. It highlights the ways in which ideas develop through adaptation, reciprocal interactions, and intelligible informational transfer. The analysis addresses strategies of creative procrastination and compositional synthesis, as well as the influence of extra-musical factors in shaping the musical discourse. The research offers an integrative perspective on the act of composition, with potential practical applications for both the creative process and the pedagogy of composition.
