TRIBUTE TO THE COMPOSER THEODOR GRIGORIU, TEN YEARS AFTER HIS PASSING TO ETERNITY (July 25, 1926 - May 21, 2014)
Keywords:
Romanian music, Romanian Composers, Theodor GrigoriuAbstract
Theodor Grigoriu is part of the second generation of composers after George Enescu. In a presentation on contemporary Romanian music, given in 1972 in New York, he appreciated the compositional phenomenon as a homogeneous, solid, lucid, permeable to everything that is valuable, not a fruit of chance, arguing each of these features: constituted by an active circulation of ideas, between all generations, homogeneous - by the high value of the ideas it contains, solid, lucid by the acuity of observation; permeable to everything that is valuable.
