A BRIEF INCURSION INTO POLYCHROME ENGRAVING

Abstract

By enhancing the prominent historical sequences of polychrome engraving, one can highlight and admit integration and contributiveness as a primary element among the formative ones in this field. From the particularity and the supporting basis (in a first form of primitiveness, the prehistoric stage) to the origin, to the intransigent and perfect one in the current successes. The chromatics approached in the techniques of engraving exercised its associative hypostasis with equal right in the edification of the image.
