THE EVOLUTION OF THE SPECIFIC GENRES OF THE WEDDING REPERTORY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF PREVIOUS RESEARCH

Abstract

In the last half of the last century, the intensification of research on the specific genres of Romanian folklore have revealed an account of elements that they then systematized in folklore collections. However up-to-date reassessment of the wedding repertoire is very welcome, taking into consider a current investigation, both from an ethnomusicological perspective and from the perspective of the interpreter placed in the current reality.
