Abstract

Communicating the sacred through art, in its various forms, lifts us to the clear light of the Sun and its stillness. The beautiful and the truth expressed in this way springs from the true Light of the world -God incarnate in Christ, through the Holy Spirit. The sacred in and through art is solar. Just as the sun rises and sets, undisturbed by the madness and agitation of man, so the sacredness depicted by art flows in its temporal stream, broken by our pleasure. So, amazed by the beauty of God, let us enjoy this Light, the sacredness expressed through art, thus fulfilling the apostle Paul's command from Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice...I say again: Rejoice!"
