Abstract

Known as a translator and as an observer of the village and the of the past, Şt.O. Iosif can also be analyzed from the perspective of the religious reasons found in his lyric. Thus, the present study captures the poet's attachment to the teachings transmitted by the forefathers, such as: prayer made from the soul, recognition of the strength of God the boundless love of Christ for us humans, traditions related to certain Christian holidays. Even if the poems do not make direct reference to biblical events or Christian teachings, we often find church terms: holy, church, icon, basil, candle.
