Contemporary theory and effects of orality
Keywords:
orality, creation, musical culture, traditional music.Abstract
The experts have set forth, approximately, that a reduced number of the languages used in the world (almost 10%) benefit from a written transmission; the rest (almost 90%) is transmitted only orally. Therefore, the vocality phenomenon has profound implications in the culture of humanity. As the human society evolved, writing is invented and shall become a means of subjecting the oppressed class by the dominant class, thus, within the same society, two cultures shall coexist: a written one and an oral one, which shall very rarely prove unitive.
