Abstract

It isEngraving guild; impetuosity; incision pr appropriate to mention that against the background of aprosperity without precedent of both the mercantilist-type contingencies andthe cultural ones - especially among European countries - arts in general butalso the domain of engravings, will attain great successes. A prosperousperiod over three centuries (between XVI-XVIII centuries), during whichengraving played ad literam an undeniable role in different domains (social,politics, religious, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, history,archeology, astronomy, literature, philosophy, cultural, artistic etc). Theengraving artists were compelled to perpetually improve theirincision/engraving processes as well as their imprinting operations andsimultaneously with these aspects that are of a technical nature theyincreased their artistic, anatomical and perspective knowledge.
