DECORATIVE SCULPTURES AND PAINTINGS IN THE POPULAR CREATION FROM THE MARAMURES REGION

Abstract

Decorative ornamental composition is structured and reflected both in sculpture and painting in a synchronization developed on artistic forms, in a compositional framework in which the artistic form is reflected in a connection of the time beyond the plastic psycho-analysis of the valorizing artist, transmitter in the development of creative ideas.All the ornamental motifs of the creator are a source of interior inspiration and then transposed under various sculptural or pictorial forms in the representation of the work of art. In the present paper I approach this theme to highlight the fundamental ornament of the whole art of Maramures that may be reflected in sculpture, painting, popular creation, weaving etc.
