TRADITIONAL AND EXPERIMENTAL IN THE HYBRID TECHNIQUES OF ENGRAVING AND PRINTING

Abstract

In an attempt to define the contemporary engraving between traditional and experimental, the term „post-digital” marks the moment of the concrete fusion, within the workshop, of the analog and digital working techniques. The hybrid engraving obtained this way is situated far from any classification based on techniques, media or print, and becomes more interested in the capacity to articulate a powerful and convincing visual discourse, where technique is important, totally under control, but not transformed in a cult or fetish.
